• Word of Advice from the Professionals

Everything I do, I do because I like it for me.
    - Julie Harris

"There are days that I’ve spent hours looking at other photographer’s work and then wanted to throw myself under a bus.  Seriously.  I can’t compare myself to others.  My work is my own.  I am an artist and have found a style that works for me and that my clients like.I don’t claim to know more than anybody, and I’m certainly not technically driven, but I will say that I absolutely love the art of photography and am inspired by all sorts of photographers—not just the perfect. My advice to anybody trying to learn some tricks is to keep it simple—do what works for you and keep your work pure. The camera is an extension of your soul–it’s how you see and interpret the world.  Focus on this, and the technical aspects will follow."

Can I just say how thankful I am for all the amazing families that I have had the opportunity to meet while living down south? There is so much southern love and this excites me! My weeks have been full of working, photographing, editing, building relationships, and little sleep. Here is a sneak peek of … Continue reading

I will make note of this for future references. 🙂 Adam & Lauren were such a wonderful couple to work … Continue reading

Tyler & Lauren

I had a great fall afternoon yesterday capturing some great memories with some close friends! Fall is one of my favorite times to take photographs. The air is crisp, the foliage is exuberant, and there is so much life floating in the air. I took a little trip north and captured these two. It was … Continue reading

Early Reminders

I remember learning early on (maybe not early enough) how important it is to have photo release from your clients. Whether you are practicing with one of your closest friends or someone you’ve never met up until the photo shoot, it is important to have some form in which the rights of the photos … Continue reading

Watermark

All of Nelle’s Images will now be sporting this watermark! Don’t worry. It won’t be slapped right across the image. However, it will be place in one of the corners of the image in hopes that my images will be stamped with the appropriate recognition. This is not to be boastful and to give proper … Continue reading
